This years pumpkins for Halloween

Had the day off last Thursday so took the kids for a walk round Hogganfield Loch and a play in the park managed to grab a couple of shots of Zak and one of Debs

My Dad and Lynn bought me the new Jamie Oliver book Jamies America so thought I would try one of the recipes at the weekend past

Decided on Beer Butt Chicken which is basically a chicken with a can of Bud shoved up its jacksie although the spicy herb and spice rub does help aswell

Turned out really well and think this might be my usual way of roasting chicken from now on as the meat just fell off the bone and was really moist

so here’s the pics of the poor thing

Not posted in a while so thought I would put up some recent pics taken on a long weekend break down in Derby

We went to see my Dad and Lynn and managed to squeeze in Drayton Manor Theme Park and Gullivers World Theme Park which the kids loved

In Derby city centre they had the Derby Wheel something along the lines of The London Eye that gave great views over the city I will try and post some pics of the views later

Went to Rouken Glen Park on Thursday on a rare dry and sunny day Corey took his bike and loved it plenty of space to zoom about Zak took his electric scooter but it ran out of charge too quickly lol

Hi All

Just a quick update on the veg growing in the garden with some pics

They seem to be enjoying the few dry days we have had recently rather than the constant rain that we have been having

The sugar snap peas seem to have went a bit mad and reaching a good height now starting to flower so hopefully not long now till we get some peas

Rather than wait until his birthday in October we got Corey his first "big boy" bike today so that he could use it over the summer holidays

He now says that he doesnt need to have a birthday as he has got his bike just now …lol

He wanted to go on the bike run that we usually do along the railway path so we headed down there and he cycled half the way along the path to the bridge and then we came back again he did really well and peddled all the way

Hi All

Went camping for 4 nights at Cobleland campsite near Aberfoyle at the start of the month just managed to get some of the pics processed so here’s a quick gallery

Bought a new tent for going away Vango Colorado 600DLX its a six man with 3 seperate rooms and a large central living area certainly makes camping easier when the weather is wet

First Strawberries from my Greenhouse only 2 ready so far but these just had to be eaten by the biggest strawberry eater in the house
